About This Film

(1951): Fearing a global nuclear war, a team of dedicated scientists and their wealthy sponsor build a massive subterranean drilling vehicle, the Cyclotram, to search for a large, habitable cavern near the Earth's core. The expedition struggles against geologic disasters like gas and volcanoes, as well as the emotional toll of isolation, on their pessimistic mission to save human civilization.
