About This Film

(1934): In 1890s Kentucky, the good-natured and philosophical Judge Priest must defend his nephew's love interest and an accused blacksmith from a corrupt political rival. In court, the judge orchestrates a dramatic revelation to expose the defendant's heroic past as a Confederate war veteran and the truth about the young woman's parentage.
