Jeff Cohalan (Robert Young), a successful architect, is tormented by the fact that his fiancée was killed in a mysterious car accident the night before their wedding. He is constantly plagued by "bad luck"—accidents that kill his animals and eventually destroy his modernist cliff-top home. When he meets Ellen Foster (Betsy Drake), the attraction is immediate, but she soon finds herself pulled into his dark world. Ellen must determine if Jeff is truly cursed, going insane, or if a sinister force is actively trying to destroy him.
