The Sleeping Tiger
A respected London psychiatrist, Dr. Clive Esmond, overpowers a young criminal, Frank Clemmons (Dirk Bogarde), attempting to rob him. Instead of turning the thief over to the police, the doctor proposes an unconventional experiment: Frank must stay at their home for six months to undergo psychoanalysis. The doctor's neglected wife, Glenda, is initially aloof but soon becomes dangerously fascinated by the young man, leading to a complex psychological and sexual triangle that threatens to destroy all three of their lives.
