Damon and Pythias
Damon and Pythias (1962): In ancient Syracuse, an Athenian philosopher named Pythias is captured and sentenced to death by the tyrant Dionysius. His friend Damon offers himself as a hostage so Pythias can visit his wife, putting their legendary bond of loyalty to the ultimate test when Pythias's return is delayed.
