Mutiny
Mutiny (1935) This is one of the most famous films in history, officially titled Mutiny on the Bounty. Set in 1787, it dramatizes the historic revolt aboard the HMS Bounty. The tyrannical and brutal Captain William Bligh (Charles Laughton) pushes his crew too far during a voyage from England to Tahiti. First Mate Fletcher Christian (Clark Gable) leads a successful mutiny against Bligh, seizing the ship and setting the captain and his loyalists adrift in a small open boat.
