Mr. Wise Guy (1942) A comedy-drama featuring the East Side Kids (Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, et al.). The gang is wrongly arrested after being found near a stolen truck and sent to a brutal reform school. While there, Danny's older brother, Bill, is framed for a drugstore robbery and murder. Armed with clues and determined to prove Bill's innocence, the boys escape from the reformatory to track down the real killer and the stolen money.
