Christmas Holiday A soldier on leave is stranded in New Orleans during Christmas and becomes infatuated with a beautiful, melancholic nightclub singer named Jackie. He soon discovers that the tragic singer is married to a convicted murderer who has just escaped from prison. The soldier finds himself drawn into a dark, suspenseful drama centered on the woman's unhappy past and the dangerous presence of her fugitive husband. This film noir is a dark departure from lead actor Gene Kelly's usual musical roles.
